Types of ships that pro-censorship fans have attempted to label as objectionable “proships”:

• characters who are more than 2 years apart in age (power imbalance)
• boss x employee (power imbalance)
• unrelated characters who have referred to one another as siblings (incest)
• characters who have known one another since they were children (incest)
• enemies to lovers (abusive)
• characters who are playfully mean to one another (abusive)
• characters they personally feel have a “sibling” dynamic (incest)
• characters they personally feel have a “parent/child” dynamic (incest)
• ships where one character is autistic or disabled (pedophilia)
• ships where one character has a playful attitude (pedophilia)
• ships where one character is short and the other is tall (pedophilia)
• ships where one character is an 18-25 year old adult (pedophilia)

• shipping a teenager with a character that has no canon age (pedophilia, even if you HC the other character as a teen.)
• Shipping a character popularly headcanoned as a lesbian with a man, when you don’t headcanon her as a lesbian (she’s a walking stereotype, no thanks!!) (homophobia)
• shipping a character with PSTD (power imbalance)
• Shipping two white characters together is racist if one of them is frequently also shipped with a person of color.
• shipping children, done in an entirely non-sexual manner. (pedophilia)
• writing smut of characters that are canonically 18, but weren’t when the show began (pedophillia)
• Shipping a character that one of your followers selfships with. (Infidelity)
• Writing POC characters being comforted by a white character in a hurt/comfort fic is racist and plays into the white saviour trope, regardless of how relevant race is to the plot.
• Shipping an ace character is aphobic to sex repulsed aces, even though not all aces are sex repulsed.
