Nobody real cares about their opinions. They’re a bunch of 12 year old xbox live rejects and catty bitchy meangirls table girls.
TBH, not to make light of anyone’s feelings, but people who get up in arms about r/systemscringe would never have lived through the 2005-2012 era of fictionkin and fictives.
This was just how people talked about us. Anybody who knew what a fictive or a fictionkin was and wasn’t one themselves was mocking them. There are lots of old blog articles “exposing” fictionkin and fictive plurals.
Everyone just treated it as cool and funny to dunk on kin and fictives and we were all constantly called “delusional, crazy, cringe, (r-slur), disgusting freaks etc etc.”
Systemscringe is kind of weaksauce in comparison to encyclopdia dramatica.
I’m not saying any of this is GOOD. I’m saying I’m shocked (and pleased) how far we’ve come in terms of demanding respect and receiving it.
