People are allowed to criticize fiction. Especially fiction that normalizes / romanticizes shit that most people find abhorrent.

I am a constant advocate for real, deep media analysis and media literacy.
What I am not an advocate for is censorship.
What I am not an advocate for is harassment.
People who publish media for profit should expect to have their writing scrutinized and analyzed by the public.
People who share fanfiction online should expect to be left the hell alone by people who don’t like their material.
When you bring your “criticism” straight to a fanfiction author’s door online using a hostile and aggressive tone, you are not criticizing the work you are violating the author’s boundaries.
