attorneys-against-court-violence:

Ja, ja, Edgeworth and Athena parallels, we’ve all seen it.

Hear me out. Franziska von Karma would have related to Athena’s situation as well, I think.

We have two teenage lawyers who lost a parent & older brother figure in a small span of time, both of whom forced themselves to be strong and return to the genesis of the events that ruined their old lives, in the name of chasing after that prosecutor who ran of without them and “chose death” as it were.

Neither have any qualms about resorting to violence against people who disrespect and belittle them, though Athena doesn’t rely on it to command respect the same way Franziska does – hers is more spur-of-the-moment than a conscious decision to rule with intimidation. Both take inspiration from their parents in order to face the problems that caused their awful situations – Manfred’s perfectionism for Franziska & Metis’ psychological prowess for Athena. Both studied in Europe (specifically Germany in Franziska’s case) before coming to the US to introduce their talents that will “fix” the broken legal system there.

Did I mention they debuted at the same age of 18, too?

I almost wish Franziska returned instead of Edgeworth just to see how she’d react and interact with this traumatised teenager. I also wish they did something with Edgeworth’s parallels but the DD team didn’t seem too interested in that.
