Don’t know if this has been asked but I need to know if you guys are a fan of Bioshock because it seems like it would be RIGHT up your alley. Also for the record Bioshock Infinite and Burial at Sea don’t exist. Trust me.
My dear sweet, beloved friend. 😭
This is going to be hard to hear.
We’re huge fans of the whole Bioshock series… and Bioshock Infinite is our favorite. 😅😅😅 Sorry!!
Love the original though, and it stands very well on it’s own!!
HOW?????? GENUINELY HOW
I don’t mind the gameplay and I will defend Elizabeth to my dying breath but HOW?????
Like Infinite has its moments. It really does. The soundtrack is amazing as usual for Bioshock, the gunplay is pretty satisfying, the vigors are fun and unique. I liked the Comstock House sequence and Daisy’s death scene, I liked the whole sequence with Lady Comstock and Emporia, but for everything good in the game there’s like two more horrible things.
I could go on and on about how they did Daisy dirty in so many ways and Elizabeth too. How Songbird was so underutilized, how disgustingly apathetic and stupid Booker is, how Rapture was shoehorned in at the end, and how Burial at Sea fucked up the franchise SO badly. But I am extremely biased (I am a Big Sister kinnie so naturally I’m gonna defend BS 2 with everything in me).
Genuinely though what makes Infinite your favorite??? I’m curious, especially given how staunch and passionate you guys are about your beliefs, I thought you’d hate Infinite for sure!
Timeloops and alternate universes and loosing the grasp that you have on yourself, and looking at all the evil that you could have done under slightly different circumstances– are just very important themes to us personally 🤷😭
I’m definitely not saying its a better game, or a more well-constructed story than Bioshock 1– it’s not, it’s definitely worse put together in every way.
We’re just deeply hooked by the Themes.
The Lutece twins stab us in the heart especially.
Also yeah the soundtrack’s a banger.
But it’s very much a “i didn’t say it was good, I said I liked it” situation. XD It just happens to speak to us on a more personal level than Bioshock 1 does.
Agree with you about Burial at Sea though.
