What’s the difference between narumitsu and wrightworth? Or is it just two shipnames that are frequently used?
Two ship names used frequently, referring to the Japanese and English character names respectively.
TBH the english localization is distinct enough in content and characterization from the original Japanese that I’m just barely comfortable referring to the pairing in English as Narumitsu– and I would never ever refer to the Japanese version of the pairing as “Wrightworth.”

They started localizing the series in 2005 when it was standard practice in the anime industry to change Japanese media so that the characters and situations were more familiar and understandable to a western audience.
In Japanese, the main character of the game is Ryuuichi Naruhodo and he practices law in Japan in the early 2000s.
In English, the main character of the game is Phoenix Wright and he practices law in LA California in the far future of the 2010s onward.
Characterization, place names, situations and more have been altered significantly. American Ace Attorney takes place in an alternate history future from the world we know.
Japanese Ace Attorney takes place in modern day Japan.
