I’ve been seeing this with a lot of tags now that tumblr actually has a filtration system so you can block tags. People will outright refuse to tag things that they know people filter out (x reader, donation posts) so they can force them in front of people who don’t want to see them in the name of “reach”.
This is a similar phenomenon to people tagging bogus pairings on AO3 so their fiction gets in front of more eyes.
Newsflash!! Getting your post/fanfic etc in front of people who actively do not want to see it should not be your priority! it is counterproductive!!
