You know, I suck at binging. I can’t watch multiple episodes of something new in a row anymore.

Genuinely miss when there were two or three shows that I watched regularly, that came out at expected intervals and I could keep up with once a week.

One of the reasons I like that FX Shogun is coming out one episode a week. I really wish Amazon had done that with Fallout.

I just think that type of release schedule is *better* for media. It gives a person time to digest it. To think about it. To discuss it. To linger on it.

I hate that Netflix binge culture has turned into shotgunning 12 hours of new media all at once like some kind of piranha feeding frenzy.

If I don’t have 12 hours immediately to devote to a series as soon as it drops (like Fallout) it’s basically dead to me at this point, and that sucks.

My biggest issue with the shotgunning thing is that it makes the streaming services decide that if people don’t binge it in like, 2-3 days at the most, clearly no one likes it, let’s not renew it!

They do realize that one a day is still a really fast clip, for christ’s sake? Right?

Right?? It’s too much.

I want to watch an episode with dinner. Maybe two.
