So, in honor of Phoenix Wright Disbarment Day…
We agree that Phoenix Wright is a very excellent detective, and a very terrible defense attorney, right?
- only defends clients who are innocent
- checks to make sure that they’re actually innocent using magic
- talks a big game about ‘trusting his client’ but literally checks to make sure they’re not lying using magic
- seems to genuinely have a moral objection to defending clients who are guilty, which may I remind you is a defense attorney’s job.
- doesn’t present any kind of organized case but makes up wild accusations and then rushes to make up a reason why they’re true.
- he doesn’t even get it right the first time he just stalls and bluffs until he happens on the right answer, and if the prosecution wasn’t there he probably wouldn’t even arrive at the right answer.
He’s a fantastic detective though.
