“I don’t even know why we’re fighting about this, Kristoph! It’s not like you even care about–”
Kirstoph smiled, and put his hands on Phoenix’s shoulders, pushing him backward. “You’re right Phoenix, I don’t care. But you do. You care so much.”
Nick’s heart thumped in his chest as Kristoph forced him against the wall. They’d been arguing for the better part of an hour, and Nick admitted he was getting a little heated.
“So admit it, Wright,” Kristoph said coolly, his eyes flashing behind the lenses of his glasses. “I’ve shown you the dictionary. Admit it’s a step ladder.”
