Thoughts on Klavier/Kristoph (gavincest)?
Extremely compelling in a twisted, psychological horror/thriller sort of way.
Klavier clearly is psychologically and emotionally damaged by his relationship with his brother, whatever that relationship was or entailed.
Kristoph is a controlling, emotionally manipulative person who demands attention, and uses his own attention and affection to control people.
It’s easy for a person with a history of familial abuse to read an incestuous undercurrent into their relationship, whether merely emotionally incestuous, or actually physically intimate.
Kristoph has a hold on his brother in some way, and that can be explored in a lot of different ways through fanfiction, whether it’s showing the smoking crater that Kristoph left in Klavier’s life, or even, with a lot of work, building some kind of repaired relationship that doesn’t leave them worse people.
Because at the time of canon, whatever their relationship is, it is not bringing out the best in one another.
