Wasn’t cronyism supposed to be fun?
Edgeworth suspected he was not getting so much satisfaction out of it as his detractors would imagine as he signed the documents to rehire prosecutor Lana Skye. In fact, he felt guilty about it.
To the outside it must look like he was packing the court with criminals. Simon Blackquill. Diego Armando. Lana Skye. But they were all good, principled people in bad situations. It wasn’t like he was hiring anyone truly awful.
This memory would come back to him months later when Skye asked: “I want to talk to you about Kristoph Gavin.”
