I never see people talk about the fact that Mia’s advice, about lawyers and smiles, as actually originally from Diego, passed down to her, and then passed down to Phoenix, and from Phoenix to his proteges.
In “Turnabout Beginnings” Diego says to Mia:
“Listenā¦ A lawyer is someone who smiles no matter how bad it gets.”
My personal headcanon is that it’s a quote from an old lawyer TV show or movie that Diego likes, but by the time it gets told to Phoenix, he doesn’t realize its from a show, or that it’s advice passed down from Diego… š¤£
