I adore how many people flip the relationship dynamics between Larry/Phoenix/Miles.
It is seen in both investigation games and in the investigation theatre plays that, while Miles still gets annoyed at Larry’s antics, he’s more prone of, at the very least, tolerate him (as long as he doesn’t touch his beloved steel samurai). Whereas Phoenix is so done with him and his antics. During the first case of the first game you can see Phoenix wondering why the fuck is he still friends with him. And how he dreads whenever he makes an appeareance.
Like, their dynamic goes as this:
Larry: Edgey, Nick! I’m going to take (Insert crazy/absurd job here)!
Phoenix: Larry please, why are you like this?… I don’t want to defend you in court again.
Edgeworth: Well… as longs as it keeps you occupied and not chasing skirts-
Phoenix: Don’t encourage him Miles!
