i see anti’s commonly say that people in the pro-ship community are chronically online but aren’t they themselves the ones “chronically online”? They’ve become so focused with what’s online that they can’t tell the difference between reality and the media they’re consuming.
I’ll be honest, I hate the term “chronically online” from both sides.
We’re ALL chronically online now because all the spaces and venues to interact with people offline have been largely destroyed and deemphasized.
How can anyone go outside and interact when everything costs money and we’re all scared of interacting with strangers irl in case they’re a killer or a child molester?
Meanwhile online spaces have been cooped by corporate social media with algorithms that drive engagement through anger and hostility.
Shit is FUCKED.
We are living in a cyberpunk dystopia.
