Red flags that the person talking about proshippers does not know what they are talking about:
(this applies to people on any side of this issue!)
- Proship is short for “problematic ships”
- The use of proship as a TYPE of ship/”here are my proships!”
- That proship is a synonym for pedophile. (I’m not saying no proshipper ever is a pedo, but I’m saying the stance is exclusively about freedom to write what you want.)
- Proship is about certain ships, and only X Y and Z ships count as “proship content.” (Antis can write the darkest most fucked up content, and wholesome content by proshippers is still technically proship content.)
- Proshipping is inherently sexual, and that in order to oppose harassing people over creating X, you must get off to it.
- Proshipping is a recent thing. (old fandom culture was mostly proship.)
- That every proshipper ships every fucked up ship in existence. Not how it works.
