Hurakr’s smile didn’t fade, but her eyes opened fully to stare Griff down with an intensity she’d come to know well.
“Then tell me, for I can’t stand the suspense.”
On the bed, Naga murmured sadly, before grabbing the pillow and pulling it back to her heavy breasts, her hair seeming to cling and twist against it of its own volition.
Griff took a deep breath, her gaze focused on her lover’s restless sleeping form. She crossed her arms, it was difficult even to say out loud.
“Naga’s sister’s received a divine edict from Ceipheed,” she murmured. Her chin snapped up to meet Hurakr’s gaze. “She’s supposed to kill Naga.”
