Here’s what you need to understand about the latest attack on the OTW and AO3 in the simplest possible terms.
People are painting the OTW/AO3 as criminals for having a less than perfect defense ready when they were (and continue to be) attacked by bad actors from outside the organization using CSAM to terrorize them.
People are painting the OTW as criminals for failing to protect themselves from criminal abuse and harassment in a perfect way.
If we were talking about a single human and not an organization this would be the perfect example of victim blaming.
