Apollo’s whole body leaned against the cell, blue coat draped over his shaking shoulders as he cried. Kristoph had rushed over as soon as he saw him, and put his arms around him through the bars.
“Apollo! What’s wrong?” Kristoph held him as close as he could. He hadn’t expected to see him today– hadn’t seen him in a while.
Apollo shuddered as he leaned into him despite the bars between them. “It’s Clay– you remember Clay. S-someone murdered him, sir. I—”
“Shhh, it’s alright. Cry it out, Mr. Justice, I’ve got you.” Kristoph held him and smoothed his hair.
