Fandom faceblind: I often have trouble recognizing characters in fanart without distinctive clothing or hairstyles and have to check the tags to make sure I know who’s being drawn.
YES. This is EXACTLY why I like Ace Attorney so much. Faceblind-as-fuck me (I once failed to recognise my own father who lives 10 minutes walk away) can recognise every character through their weird hairstyles and colour-coded clothing.
Even the characters who actually are twins (Dahlia and Iris Hawthorne) or siblings with a very strong physical resemblance (Kristoph and Klavier Gavin) can be readily distinguished through clothing and accessories.
This is so important for me. I’ve tried to watch several modern anime series and got nowhere with them because everyone looks “the same”. Any anime which involves the characters wearing a uniform is just a nightmare for me.
