mental maturity is realizing i can personally be very uncomfortable with proshipping and think its hella gross without making it a morality thing.
its not morally bad its just smth i want to keep a bajillion feet away from me because if i see ppl romanticizing the shit that literally ruined my life i get the urge to be violent
I just want to drop in to say I think you’ve been misled as to what proshipping actually is.
Proship does not mean you have problematic ships, that is a false definition spread by people who hate proshippers.
Being proship means exactly the stance that you have; curating your online content so you only see the things you want to see, and not harassing other people just because they create things you don’t want to see.
Many proshippers don’t have any ships that would be considered ‘gross’ they just respect others right to ship and let ship.
If you’re looking for a word to mean someone who has problematic ships, the word you’re looking for is comship.
Anyway, feel free to ignore this, and you’re always free to label yourself however you want, but I wanted to try to curb the flow of misunderstanding.
