I couldn’t give two shits if someone doesn’t want to call themselves proship even if they fit the definition. Like fine, whatever, it doesn’t actually matter, but stop being like “I’m not proship but [basic definition of proship]” because all that does is cause more confusion to what it actually means to be proship.
Being proship is just believing “ship and let ship.” Even if you personally don’t ship it, even if you personally think it’s disgusting, if you don’t harass others for shipping it, you’re proship. You don’t have to have problematic ships yourself, either. You don’t need like problematic tropes or characters or whatever else, you just need to be like “hey, harassing someone over fiction isn’t okay actually.” It’s not that hard to gasp, it’s not rocket science, so fucking stop. Learn what proship actually means before being like “nah I’m not that.”
