Exactly. It’s so annoying when a total bystander, a stranger who has no role in this and has no business policing people on how they can’t have the right to be angry at their bullies. The blame is purely on antis for taking things too far over fiction and the people who also harass antis.
People are so “morally superior” (/sar) for not taking a side that it’s actually making them look more morally ignorant than anything else. You can’t just “not take a side” when someone does something bad to the other side as a cop out to prevent people from attacking you. Because that’s essentially all it is. People just don’t want to say directly that the antis in this situation did something wrong to proshippers so they don’t get attacked for “defending proshippers”.
If someone killed a person in cold blood, you can’t say “well I think both sides are at fault here”. If someone does something unjustifiably bad, you can’t blame both sides for those actions. There’s a victim and an abuser here, don’t blame the victim for something the abuser did. They aren’t equal parties in this situation, like at all.
