Ya know, you’re right, but sometimes I get embarrassed easily, especially talking about myself. ^^;; So thanks for asking.

Back in the early 2000s I used to self ship with one of the most niche characters of all time, and a villain to boot. One of the agents from the Matrix (1999).

Specifically this one.

Technically, this is Agent Brown, but because wikis weren’t what they are now 20 years ago, I thought he was Agent Jones. So he’s Agent Jones.

My friend who shipped herself with Agent Smith and I got together and wrote this whole long AU/canon-continuation of the Matrix that depicted the Agents as the good guys protecting humanity, and our characters were human deputies who worked with them because of their special qualities.

My S/I was a guy named Vincent Greer who was 19 and worked at Blockbuster when he was recruited into the Agency after his powers manifested because he witnessed a fight between an agent and a rebel.

He was an extremely edgy super cool 90s/2000s guy who used a katana along with a gun, and road a motorcycle. He had a faulty connection to the matrix which was slowly driving him insane and giving him berserker rages.

He and his lover Agent Jones weren’t supposed to be in a relationship due to agency regulations so it was all a big secret that they had to hide, and Jones was terribly afraid of losing Vincent to his defect. He was trying to find any way to save him from finally flying off the handle for the last time.

Vincent also had a recurring enemy called Grimoires who was a rogue program from a decaying backup of the matrix. He was a sinister, controlling mafia type with ‘survival of the fittest’ thing (very Wesker adjacent in hindsight). He was always telling Vincent that they were more alike than he wanted to admit, and trying to get him to join him.

Here’s some old art of Vincent.
