i’ve seen antis complain that proshippers use “well, what about horror movies?” as their go-to argument, but i haven’t actually seen an anti say why that’s a bad rebuttal
if you’re gonna say “no one gets off to murder,” you’re literally just wrong. straight up. look up the definition of “guro” and get back to me
if you’re gonna say “horror movies don’t romanticize murder,” well, by what standard? how can you determine the director’s intentions like that? what about horror movies where the murderer has a tragic back story or gets away with it in the end?
tell me how this is a bad argument to bring up. what makes violence so much more acceptable than sexuality? i’ll wait
ABC’s Hannibal romanticizes murder, Persona 4 Golden romanticizes murder, Ludo’s the Horror of Our Love romanticizes murder, Hellraiser romanticizes murder, Phantom by Susan Kay romanticizes murder, Natural Born Killers romanticizes murder…
I could go on π
