it’s strange to watch people scare themselves into becoming socially conservative about sex because they’ve specifically primed themselves to think about kinds of sex that are normally regarded as unremarkable with bad-faith fearmongering premises. last year at the height of pride discourse I was genuinely seeing full grown adults go “wtf? what kind of freak has sex in a car!!! a minor could see you”….like, come on now.
