A lot of the criticisms that antis hail at fanfic writers are the same misogynistic, bad faith criticisms that have been hailed at romance authors since the 70′s, except that they coat that shit in academic language to make it seem like its in “better faith” all while throwing it at media that doesn’t have any of the influence that mainstream romance novels had.
Our grandmother’s read spicier romance than antis believe should exist.
