When you’re writing and you get to a scene that you’re stuck at–
It is totally acceptable to put in a placeholder, move on and write a later scene, and come back to it later.
–“this is the scene where they confess their love but idk let’s move on to what I really want to write.”
–“insert fight scene here.”
–“character a and b discuss x.”
–“they break in. I don’t know how yet. Let’s move on.”
You don’t have to deal with it now, if it’s blocking other scenes you’re excited and want to get to. It can be future you’s problem.
