Hello, friend! Don’t worry, this question doesn’t make us uncomfortable.

The answer is that a bunch of people, who are in a poly relationship, who share one body are running this blog.

We also frequently reference other people with whom we are also in a poly relationship, (and legally married to) who share a body and run the blog @megaphonegirlk

as for your second question

if the latter is the case, how does that work? If you don’t mind me asking. Is it like multiple personality disorder?

First of all I need to inform you that the medical and therapeutic community no longer uses the term “multiple personality disorder”, and has not used the term for some time. The term the medical community uses is “Dissociative identity disorder”, or shorted DID.

Second of all, the answer is no. The owners of this blog (collectively known as Sinister System) do not have Dissociative Identity Disorder.

We are simply plural. We experience being many people sharing one body as our natural state of being.

We do experience dissociation, and we have experienced trauma in our background.

However, we do not consider our origin as a system to be out of trauma, nor do we consider ourselves to be disordered when it comes to our plurality.

Our specific plural origin is spiritual, and tied up with our spiritual beliefs as fictionkin. We are a cluster of souls who have been reincarnated together through multiple lifetimes.

This specific time, we have been reincarnated sharing a single body, rather than as typically, incarnated in multiple bodies. (or in rather two bodies, including our partner system who is part of the same cycle.)

There are specific system members– Toko and Hal– who have and do experience traumatic and disordered plurality themselves, but their actual Dissociative Identity Disorder was formed in past lifetimes, and isn’t relevant to our origin as sinister system.

As you can see from our “about” page, the body that we share is 37 years old, and I will tell you that we have been living as a system and experiencing plurality for at least 27 of those years, and posting publicly about our plurality for 20ish years now.
