If anyone is curious, the media that most heavily traumatized us was the novel “Child of Fortune” by Norman Spinrad.
It’s an excellent science fiction novel. There’s nothing wrong with it.
Except we were forced by our abusive father to read it when we were 14.
And there’s lots of hardcore, graphically described sex in it.
Including hypnosis rape on a mass scale by plants that rob you of your free will. And an underage sex cult.
And we were 14.
And our abusive father forced us to read it and give him little reports on it.
So yeah.
