No amount of guilt trippy “reblogs help artist uwu” posts will change the fact that current tumblr culture does NOT reward reblogging.
I’ve been directly messaged by users to take down a days old reblog because they disagreed with me over discourse.
I’ve had anons in my inbox try to cancel me because I reblogged an innocuous post from a problematic person (they had no evidence about their claims). Because I do a comprehensive background check.
I’ve seen countless posts asking for reblogs, unless you’re a kinnie. Fuck that.
I’ve seen needless bullshit over spam reblogs, despite the fact that my spam rebloggers are some of my favorite mutuals?
The benefits of reblogging is the low chance you could make a new mutual and showing the friends this cool post you found. The drawbacks? Huge.
