We are not one to get into syscourse and this will probably be deleted later but y’all cannot say “endos steal from us endos bad 🤬🤬🤬” then go on to do the exact same thing you claim endos do 😭 it’s hypocritical ” i like this term but it made by an Endo so I’m gonna steal it!!” Didn’t you just send systems literally death threats bc they used the terms switch introject ECT????

Please just follow what you preach or else no one is gonna take you srsly if you yell at endos to not use “your terms” then don’t use any terms that where made by endos!!! This means no more factive/fictive since it was made by a soulbound system!!!

PRACTICE WHAT YOU FUCKING PREACH

The ironic part is introject isn’t even exclusive to systems or plurality as a whole

verb PSYCHOANALYSIS

unconsciously adopt the ideas of attitudes of others

Introjection [ Wikipedia ]

In psychology, introjection is the unconscious adoption of the thoughts or personality traits of others. It occurs as a normal part of development, such as a child taking on parental values and attitudes. It can also be a defense mechanism in situations that arouse anxiety. The tendency is also known as identification or internalization. It has been associated with both normal and pathological development.

Introjection [ GoodTherapy ]

Introjection, one of many defense mechanisms posited by Sigmund Freud, occurs when a person internalizes the ideas or voices of other people. This behavior is commonly associated with the internalization of external authority, particularly that of parents.

[ … ] While everyone learns from the external world and takes on elements of other people’s beliefs and ideas, introjection occurs with minimal thought. A woman who adopts her friends’ views, after they have been carefully explained and considered, is not introjecting, but a child who reflexively adopts a parent’s views without thought can be said to be introjecting.

Introjections involve attitudes, behaviors, emotions, and perceptions that are usually obtained from influential or authoritative people in one’s life. They are neither digested nor analyzed; they are simply adopted as a part of one’s personality as concepts that one considers should be believed or behaviors that one thinks ought to be followed. Introjections do not involve an individual’s personal integrity or morality.

Introjection [ APA Dictionary ]

in psychoanalytic theory, the process of absorbing the qualities of an external object into the psyche in the form of an internal object or mental representation (i.e., an introject), which then has an influence on behavior. This process is posited to be a normal part of development, as when introjection of parental values and attitudes forms the superego, but it may also be used as a defense mechanism in situations that arouse anxiety. Compare identification; incorporation. —introject vb. —introjective adj.

Introjection, Internalization, Identification, Oh My! [ Therapist Development Center ]

Introjection occurs when a person internalizes the ideas or voices of other people-often external authorities. An example of introjection might be a dad telling his son “boys don’t cry”- this is an idea that a person might take in from their environment and internalize into their way of thinking. The child isn’t necessarily identifying with the person who said this (their dad), but they take it in and it becomes part of how they see the world (and consequently, how they believe they should behave). Over time, this might lead to identification with the individual who said it. This would look like the son following in their dad’s footsteps and becoming like their dad in more ways than just this belief. They might follow a similar career path, dress similarly, and take on other similar belief systems. So are not only taking on the single belief that “boy’s don’t cry” but also begin to identify with the person who said it.

Introjection [ Encyclopedia ]

Introjection is a fundamental process in the mental development of the infant, related to incorporation fantasies. Sándor Ferenczi emphasized the idea of identification with the aggressor in post-traumatic syndromes through introjection of the adult’s feelings of guilt.

This notion became fundamental after Ferenczi developed it. In the neurotic it entails including as much of the external world as possible within that individual’s sphere of interests; the neurotic’s ego is pathologically inflated. This mechanism is the opposite of projection, which causes the paranoiac to project outward emotions that have become too painful; in contrast to the neurotic, the paranoiac suffers from a shrinking of the ego. The schizophrenic, meanwhile, more or less withdraws his or her interest from the outside world. In addition, from the earliest mother-child relations, introjection constitutes a primary process that organizes the psyche, as the very basis of love and thus of the transference.

SysMeds love to say “sToP sTeAlInG mEdIcAl TeRmS” but it’s been proven time and time again that their language isn’t even “medical” lmao, the ICD currently recognizes that non-traumatic systems exist, words like “introject” and “splitting” aren’t exclusive to plurals AND terms like “system” “alter” “parts” “multiple” don’t even apply to all traumagenic + disordered systems. There are systems with DID, OSDD, PDID, etc that prefer one type of language over the other and two SysMeds will insist that their specific language preference is the “correct medicalized” language while the other language is for the dirty faking/roleplaying/“actually disordered but confused” endogenics 🥲
