I need unhinged romantics to get back into storytelling and start telling nuanced enemies to lovers stories and all the moral complexities that entails and ignore it when somebody inevitably clutches their pearls about not being presented a black and white chessboard where everyone stays in their lines. Several attempts have been made in the past several years but they haven’t truly been written with the complexities, the finesse, the nuance, it requires. Nobody gets it. Nobody is reading Pride and Prejudice all the way through. We’re suffering out here.
