i hate how doc scratch and lord english are slept on by every homestuck fan. those fuckers changed the scope of everything to do with sburb using two different species from two different universes. they ARE the sburb. there is so much to say yet i hear not a peep from ANY homestuck fan about them and/or their roles in the story. lets finally start talking about these two, 7 years after the fact.
I mean, unfortunately in my opinion as someone who read the comic as it was coming out, doc scratch and lord english just basically completely stopped being interesting once Hussie showed us what he had decided on for their ‘origin’.
Lord English is initially presented as basically “missingno from pokemon”– an unfathomable glitch whose mere presence will just completely wreck your shit.
And then he turns out to be the worst traits of a bunch of teenage characters (most of whom are our protagonists) added to the an 11th hour manchild antagonist.
I don’t know if it was this way for everyone but to me that’s just so much less interesting than an eldritch monstrosity of game code.
