it feels like antis dont understand WHY csa is bad. csa is bad because someone is abusing their power over a real child to cause real harm. moving the goalposts from that to “pedos r bad because being attracted to kids at all is yucky” to “reading the wrong fic and books makes you a pedo, and therefore yucky” makes it impossible to have a real conversation about csa or pedophilia without having to extensively define what that even means anymore.
Antis operate on the idea that
“X is bad because my set of rules says its bad”
instead of
“X is bad because it causes harm.”
They legitimately are not operating under the same decision making framework as you and I.
They consider it bad because it’s icky/sinful/illegal/whatever set of arbitrary rules they’re applying.
Whether or not it causes harm doesn’t enter into their decision making.
