❣️ Shipping something does not mean that you think that the relationship would be the most ideal, desirable, healthy or moral relationship for the characters to be in.
❣️ Shipping something does not mean that you think it should be canon.
❣️ Shipping something does not mean you think it would be good, healthy or desirable in real life.
❣️ Shipping something just means that you think that it’s interesting to think about, look at art of, read fiction about, write fiction about, or create art about.
❣️Shipping something means you think it is interesting in some way, not that you think it is morally good or desirable.
There are in fact not any exceptions that make it okay to harass and attack someone over a fictional ship, ever.
If you have a disagreement with someone over a ship the solution is always to block them and never to attack them.
Why would you say there are times when it is okay to attack or harass another person?
It’s not okay to attack anyone for what they ship. It’s okay to dislike a ship, that’s perfectly okay, it all has to do with someone’s own opinion.
It’s not okay however to go out of your way to actively harass and or ‘call out’ someone for something they find interesting. Apologies I should’ve worded that better.
