Re: your last ask. Pretty much, also Christianity, and Catholicism =/= Christofascist. Just like Hinduism is not equated to Hindu nationalism and both books very distinctly say violence and hatred of others is bad (Mahabharata and Leviticus), any religion can be ill used if it suckers up to institutions enough. But to assert all anyone of x group is inherently bad, is a bad understanding of humans and our (collective) diversity and is along the lines of saying “all muslims/brown people are Terrorists.” Not exactly in line cause that’s based in racism and the institution backs a lot of that racism (the “patriot act” and the Reagan response to the AIDS crisis), but yeah. (A lot of) Witchblr especially loves hating on Christians, and in the process commiting more cultural appropriation and bigotry than them, but I digress :). Relate on the religious trauma though (Catholic School 0/10). :(

You’re exactly right. asserting that everyone of a certain religion is bad is awful and bigoted and never a claim we would make.
We have a lot of beliefs that many Christians would not approve of, but we also know a lot of good people who are Christians, have christian friends, etc.
Being christian is not the same as being a christofascist.
As an American– fascists who are seeking to impose a Christian theocratic tyranny on America are a threat to our personal freedom and safety, and we won’t interact with anyone who aligns themselves with those goals and ideals.
Most Christians, thankfully, are not like that. And the ones who are will expose themselves almost immediately, because of how comfortable they are with the belief that their perspective is the true and right one.
