It’s exactly like that, anon. It’s like when you make your Sims addicted to heroin even though you know in the real world, heroin is bad and you wouldn’t forcibly addict someone to heroin.
It’s imaginary. It’s pretend. It’s playing with dolls.
For a lot of people, the reason they like to play with these imaginary concepts is because of trauma, yes. But it’s not the only reason. some people just think it’s fun in fiction. Like getting your Sims addicted to heroin.
Fiction is great because it allows us a space to play pretend and do the bad things we would never do in real life. No one is harmed, and there is always a reset button.
(as an aside “proship” itself doesn’t specifically mean shipping minors, or shipping anything problematic, it just means that you believe people have a right to ship whatever they want because it’s all imaginary.)
