Proship community:

  • Thinks you should write or draw anything that you want to.
  • Discourages harassment and threats against any person, calls out and rejects community members who engage in harassment behavior.
  • Focused positively; share and comment on works and opinions that they enjoy.
  • Uplift and encourage other members of their community.
  • Try to discuss discourse with rationality, facts, maturity and kindness.
  • Uplift and support survivors and mentally ill creators, even when their trauma and illness can be messy or unpleasant.

Antiship community:

  • Wants to control what you can create and enjoy in fiction.
  • Polices it’s community through negativity, harassment and death threats.
  • Focused negatively; criticizes and tears down works thet don’t like rather than positively enjoying what makes them happy.
  • Constantly monitor other community members to harass, reject and threaten them for any perceived sin.
  • Approach discourse from a position of disgust and personal emotion, refuse to listen to reasoned arguments or read relevant science, respond to attempts to communicate with slurs, threats and other emotional violence.
  • Disregard the trauma, feelings and experiences of survivors and the mentally ill the moment those people don’t fall in line with their views.
