for me, i don’t exactly “feel characters disagreeing with me” but many times i’ve had a plot outline and then it changed massively when i started writing it because i just kind of felt what the character would do and it conflicted with the outline i had set out, so it changed.
This is probably closer on the spectrum of autonomy toward ‘typical experience’. It may be vaguely plurality or alterhuman aligned, but unless it’s something you’re interested in pursuing, it’s nothing to be concerned about.
The most atypical experience is hearing the characters talking to you in your head, having them actively express opinions and desires, or getting flashes of memory-like experience from them.
