neglect is kinda like grooming in the way that you’re proud of it when you’re so young because you’re special and mature and maybe it wouldn’t be okay with another kid but you’re different than them. you’re better. it becomes something you want. like of course it’s okay that you won’t be home all day even though i’m only four because i’m special and a big girl. i know how to cook for myself and clean and do everything a parent should because i am talented. i don’t need anybody and it’s a good thing. my parent is so proud of me and they tell me how good i am because of it. and you never have a second thought about it because you can’t even remember them doing it for you or it ever being any different.
