yknow, something i wish we addressed more often is that writing and reading dark fic is also good for people who HAVEN’T gone through it. like, even through the lense of a fetish, you’re going to learn to empathize with the victim of whatever you’re writing. we crack open sources to make sure we’re writing boat travel right and checking to see if they’d have potatoes, do antis really think we can’t look up “effects of childhood trauma”?

You know, like reading Harry Potter caused people to become witches and get possessed, and watching and playing Pokemon caused children to summon demons and worship satan!
