I wish I could smack every person in the shota tag on AO3 screaming “I DON’T SUPPORT THIS IN REAL LIFE! THIS DOESN’T REFLECT MY REAL BELIEFS!” with a stinky mackerel to the face. Except if I did that I’d have to hit almost everyone in the fucking tag. I’m so, so tired of this handwringing and disclaiming and tags and summaries and author’s notes all begging you to not think they’re into actual kids. Y’all, virtually none of us are. It’s a mixture of size kink, age gap kink and experience gap kink. I assume 0% of you are into actual kids… normally. But if you can’t shut up about how you’re not into kids, then I wonder why it’s on your mind so much, and then I think there’s a chance. Because that’s the only reason anyone would be THIS loud about it.
