Either way, adults with children isn’t good. There’s no way to ship an uncomfortably large age gap. Even if it “happens in real life”, that isn’t good.

An older person dating someone once they turn 18 is only grooming if they were hovering over the younger person and using coercive tactics on them to make them think their relationship is good no matter what. Otherwise, it’s just dating with an age gap. It depends on the actual gap between ages of course, and age gaps are a bigger deal the younger you are, but I’ve seen antis claim that an 18-year-old with a 24-year-old is automatically abuse when it isn’t. That’s infantilizing to 18-year-olds. An 18-year-old is not a child, so maybe don’t treat them like one, and for the love of god, don’t act like abuse is nothing more than an age gap when it is so much more than that.
What you are doing here is equating fictional age gap ships with real actual grooming of minors, and that’s fucking gross. Think before you post next time.
