I hope its okay to more “discourse ramble” in your inbox but Im reminded of the situation that happened not too long ago that really pushed me over the edge into “Ok wow antis are batshit and don’t actually care about protecting anyone”I had a friend who was asked publicly about how he felt about ship discourse, he replied to this ask with something like “I really don’t care, I just ship what I like” he wasn’t a very popular blogger but ran one of those aesthetic blogs that tend to get niche little followings.This person (Who we’ll call ABC) took massive offense to it and started going om and on about how my friend must be a “nasty proshipper” and how hes fine with pedophilia and how hes groomimg his friends (He had *just* turned 18 and all his immediate friends are 16+ – This person was well into their 20s)Turns out ABC had a history of going into various communities and faking identities in order to win arguments. Turns out they were also grooming kids that it was okay to look at this random guys NSFW blog to harass them even when the guy begged to be left alone because they didn’t want a 14 year old to see their posts.They got outted and left the face of the internet but those kids they influenced still do this shit and frequently post screenshots of people who are even slightly “weird” and ridicule them.So yeah thats when my proship egg fully cracked.
