Caretaker been lying to whumpee. They’d been lying to whumpee every step of the way. And the worst part was that upon finidng it out, whumpee realized they didn’t care.
It didn’t matter to them if caretaker was actually whumper. It didn’t matter what things whumper had actually done. It was in the past. With all the things whumpee had done to defend ‘caretaker’, wasn’t whumpee worse than them now anyway?
If whumper was happy to go on lying and playing caretaker, whumpee was happy to go on living like they believed it. What did the truth matter in the face of desire?
