I’m honestly really creeped out by these people who constantly go after content that makes them feel morally repulsed just for the sake of complaining about it. I really want to know who the first person was who developed a savior complex over paper dolls, and I want to ask if they were inspired by Jack Thompson.
If this stuff was really so illegal, then why is it still allowed on AO3, a huge public website? Why is it not relegated to the dark web like CSEM and drug cartels? Why is SNL allowed to make fun of everyone? Where exactly is the line between simply depicting racism and glorifying it in a fictional setting? How can you get other people to agree with where that line is? And, if you think simple depiction is glorifying by default, then you’re arguing that talking about racism is worse than real racism.
I actually personally feel that NSFW fics about real minors are absolutely fucking appalling and horrible, which is why I stay the fuck away from them and don’t give it any attention or exposure. That means people can enjoy it in their little corner and not let it fall into the limelight, so those real minors will hopefully never see it.

It’s illegal if it’s visual material indistinguishable from a photograph of a real child. As far as I’m aware there has been no case where written fiction about a living minor has been prosecuted in the United states.
Again, I neither create nor am interested in rpf. But it’s not illegal.
