The USA is a complex web of “Obscenity” laws which vary from state to state and can be used at any time to criminalize any type of prornography that the state decides it wants to prosecute you for.
US federal child pornography laws only apply to photographic and video content of real minors, or computer generated images indistinguishable from real minors.
Practically speaking this makes drawn lolisho and written content about fictional minors legal, in terms of child pornography laws specifically.
But it’s theoretically possible to be prosecuted for lolisho in the same way that it’s theoretically possible to be prosecuted for owning gay porn. Or straight porn.
If the right judge deems it “Obscenity” you could be dragged to trial.
And that is why it is SO IMPORTANT to have groups that ruthlessly defend free speech.
You don’t want to set a precedent that can send people to jail for gay porn.
