You can’t just say “It’s always bad to buy a product” without giving an alternative. The problem with massive brands like Kellogg’s and Nestlé is that they’re everywhere, and they’re cheap. Poor people can’t afford better alternatives, in many cases. No ethical consumption under capitalism. That’s just a fact. We make due where we can, and we do our best. Yes, Nestlé sucks, and I’d love to be able to get away from them, but they’re everywhere. It must be nice to be able to afford the choice.

I have a nut allergy and it determines a lot of my behaviour. If I eat something with peanuts in, I could potentially die in 5 minutes. Before I consume something, I have to read the labels, I can’t trust people’s words on things being ok, I am used to being left out of meals. It doesn’t bother me. I am responsible for my own health, I know other people enjoy nutty foods even though they smell like poison. People have to give me the opportunity to protect myself, but then the ball is in my court. I can’t go around and harass people for eating peanuts, it’s not fair. I like thinking of my emotional triggers the same way, sites like “does the dog die” works exactly the same. You aren’t sure a piece of work will be safe for you, it’s on you to not consume it . I hope this make sense I just think triggers and allergies should be treated the same way

Random ask but I was just remembering something infuriating that I saw on Twitter the other day, feel free to ignore. Antis have such fucked up priorities that they’ll bring up the fact that someone is a proshipper BEFORE they speak about someone being a nazi/zoophile/“map” (pedophile) or any other fucked up thing. And I don’t mean it in a “This gets gradually worse” way, no no no! I’ve seen people calling out proshippers and then adding another tweet to their thread being like “Oh yeah they’re also a nazi/zoophile/”map” (pedophile) btw” I’m so fucking tired, I’m not a bad person for enjoying fictional topics, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT HELPS ME TO COPE WITH ACTUAL FUCKED UP SHIT I’VE BEEN THROUGH!! Antis are exhausting.

I’m afraid this might be a problematic type of shipping, maybe even for some proshippers, and it’s definitely fuel for antis to use against us, so if you want to ignore this ask, that’s ok. First of all, something everybody agrees is ok is when we write/headcanon straight characters as queer. I do that myself often, main example being Steve x Bucky Barnes, IMO much better chemistry than Steve x Peggy. But what about the other way around? There’s this gay male character that I believe has incredible chemistry with a female character (I actually headcanon her as his “only exception” and he sees himself as a gay man who happened to be in a straight relationship), but we’re often told it would be homophobic to ship something like that. Yes, most homophobes would indeed do that, but I can guarantee that if I count the number of straight characters I ship with same-sex characters it would vastly outnumber the very small number of gay characters I ship with opposite-sex characters). Is there any proship statement that says something like “shipping canon straight characters with same-sex partners is just as valid as shipping canon gay characters with opposite-sex partners as long as you’re not a homophobic jerk IRL?”

i recently stopped hanging out with my anti ‘friends’ because my ex best friend started /dating/ someone they spent seven months publicly calling a pedophile and had previously insisted the person sexually assaulted their wife, now they act like none of that ever happened and deleted every mention of it off all their social media and it was the biggest and most shocking eye opener of my life. i just wanted to put that out there how scary these circles can be. to anyone whos also recently left or is consider leaving anti circles; i want to assure that the proship community is far less volatile and much more kind <3 and i also want to thank you for being a kind person!!!

I’ve noticed something very weird about mlm ships with a high number of antis. And it’s that they act the most like the fujoshi stereotypes that they claim fujoshi in general to be. Klance antis: Went as far as to nearly ruin Voltron if the studio didn’t make the ship canon. Have shipped irl people(these people being little boys no older than five)simply because they looked like the characters Keith and Lance. And forced kids to watch the show and make sexual inappropriate comments about it. And these are the people who call fujoshi predatory for “fetishizing real life gay men.” Zukka antis: Have written fanfic where they make Katara a homophobe and/or ship kataang just so she can be “out of the way” of their ship. Seriously, homophobe Katara is a popular fanon amongst these assholes that it’s insufferable. And have harassed those who ship Zuko with women(especially Katara)with statements like “Why ship zutara when zukka is right there?!” Or “If you ship Zuko with women, you hate gay people.” And even don’t right racist comments such as calling zutara shippers, who are made up by mostly woc, animals. And the irony to the racism, they claim that zutara is racist because Katara is indigenous while Zuko isn’t…then wtf does that make Sokka then?! And these are the people who claim fujoshi are racist for “fetishizing Asian men.” Kiribaku antis: Love to shove it in your face about it in a similar manner as zukka antis do. Only difference is that they say that if you ship anyone with Bakugo other than Kirishima, you’re an abuse apologist. Because Bakugo is an abuser…except for one person?? Have made some of the kinkiest, downright raunchy content of this ship. Yet will call you a pedo if it’s of any other characters so hypocrisy. And these are the same people who claim fujoshi are sexual deviants who “romanticize abuse.” And of course, they all harass people and sui bait others simply for not shipping their ship. Like they wanna talk about how fujoshi fetishize gay men and are out of touch with reality. Yet here they are, acting as those stereotypes they keep pushing onto fans of BL.(I’m not making a comment on the whole hygiene thing though. Because I know as much about their hygiene as they do everyone else. Aka, jack shit.)

At this point, we like coming in and telling weird stories from our system and partner (also a system,) so I hope you enjoy these. We were watching a video, and remembered when the Dudes ran the front for a bit. “Dudes” plural. Each Postal game’s Dude ended up as their own fictive. Our system had a Postal 1 Dude, and a Postal 2 Dude. Our partner system had a 2 Dude as well, but also a 3 Dude and a Redux Dude. I forget which dudes it was, but I’m 90% sure that for us it was Postal 1 Dude. 1D and one of our partner’s Dudes were (for some reason) next level desperate for nachos. Like, crying on the couch with insatiable desire for nachos. We didn’t have any real nacho chips though, and we didn’t exactly have cheese sauce laying around. Still, they decided that Lay’s salt and vinegar would have to do. When they were making the sauce, neither of them thought to look up how actual nacho cheese sauce is made. So they just chucked craft singles into a pan (like a skillet) with a bunch of milk and butter. 1D was stuck stirring, and the other Dude was chucking in cheese as seen fit. It was super watery at first, and they wasted a bunch of cheese trying to make it not-watery. Finally, they finished it, and they both devoured the chips. Nobody checked the expiration date on the milk though… Lol… They got themselves in some weird in-between with one end being “hey, do you also feel weirdly high” and the other end being “oh god why am I dizzy and a little nauseous?” They were fine in the end obviously, but here’s the kicker: THEY MADE MORE BEFORE FINALLY THINKING TO EVEN CHECK THE MILK DATE. Needless to say, we still chuckle a little over it.
