I love when antis pull the “there are children in this fandom” argument. Like one, doesn’t matter, they didn’t make form the fandom let alone are the ones who invented it. And two, if you wanna categorize fandom by age, then teenagers get out of the Danganronpa fandom and the Sofia the First fandom, you aren’t the target demographic. Same for adult antis, leave The Owl House fandom, you’re not the target demographic. In fact, adult antis using this argument, leave fandom all together, because believe it or not, you’re the dangerous adults in fandom since you wanna link minor antis to nsfw shit. Because my rated-E fanfic on AO3 wasn’t for those kids to begin with nor did I make it for them.
Children who deliberately violate their own boundaries and then cry that someone should have stopped them from being able to do so don’t get any sympathy from me.
It’s like, do you want agency, or not? Why do you want people to take your agency from you?
Fandoms can’t be categorized by age, only the content created within them. And if antis go looking at explicit content and then get mad about it that’s not my fault.
